Poison is very dangerous in the member world of RuneScape, and is the leading way of death for all new RuneScape members.
Poison is indicated as green hitpoints, and will hit constantly until either you take an antipoison potion (obtained in Herblore) or waiting for it to go away.
Poison is found by many creatures, such as Tribal Men in Karamja and Poison Spiders in the Wilderness.
Many players put in their items in the bank, and wait to die instead of paying for antipoison potions, which are about 1,000 coins.
[edit] Monsters that poison
- Strange Plants: After you run away/kill one of these, if you get poisoned you will start at the max of 2 hits per poison shot before it wears off, you die or drink an antiposion.
- Tribeman: Once you get poisoned by one of them you will be hit with 11 hits per poison shot.
- Sea snakes: (From the Royal Trouble quest cave) This poison is slow but heavy, starting at 9 hits per poison shot)
- Poison Spider: Poison spiders are found in Edgeville Dungeon
Taverley Dungeon Level 35-42 Wilderness Caves around the Myreque Hideout Chaos Tunnels Yanille Agility dungeon. They can do 6 poison damage.
- Kalphites: Kalphite Guardians and Soldiers have been known to poison 6 damage.
