The Pest Control Riot happened on the day Jagex created a large Pest Control revamp that many players didn't like. Players gathered in Falador in world 99 to rant about the new Pest Control. A lot of players spammed with @@@@@@@ and "&&&&&&&" continuously, while others were saying things like we want old pc!, bring back old pc, old pc or no pc, and so on. Player moderators were trying to keep it down. The rants section of the official forum was spammed as well.
