Drop Trade Scam

This scam cons players into dropping something to get something. It is like regular trading, except that it involves dropping items to trade instead of regular trading. The player who scams doesn't even drop his item, and instead waits for the other player's item to show up, takes it, and logs out. Most players wont fall for this, even the newer ones. This trading method is discouraged by JaGeX as well. The scam is now extinct due to an update

Person 1:Selling full guthans 9 mil!
Person 2 attempts to trade.
Person 1:Drop your 9 mil on the ground and I'll drop the guthans stuff on the ground.
Person 2 drops 9 mil on the ground, and Person 1 doesn't, but waits for the coins to show up. When it does, Person 1 picks it up and logs out, while Person 2 loses all the cash.

If you ever come across someone asking to drop trade an untradable item DONT DROP TRADE THEM. Untradable items disappear before the other player sees it, making one of the players lose their item. Jagex wouldn't make an item untradable for no reason. Instead, report the player offering to drop trade under Item Scamming.
