1004 Coin Scam

The 1004 Coin Scam is a deceptive scam in which the scammer lowers the amount of coins offered in a trade and gets the item for a very low price. It is the trade, the scammer will have obtained an item worth 100,000 coins for only 1,004 coins.

During the period that the trade window flashed if a player changed their offer, to when the trade limit came into effect, it became noticeably hard to use this scam.

Victim trades with scammer

Scammer puts in lots of junk and 100k then quickly removes 98,996gp.

Victim accepts trade.

Victim realizes he/she has been scammed and reports the scammer for item scamming.

The Scammer just got a great deal, but probably shouldn't have done this.
